Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These terms are the rules for using MedpointMD. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use MedpointMD.
MedpointMD is not for emergencies
If someone is in danger or needs urgent medical help, call 112 (national emergency number) or 193 (ambulance), or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a referral, an appointment or a reply from the platform.
1. Who we are
MedpointMD is run by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (company registration number [COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER]), of [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. The pilot and subscription
- MedpointMD is currently a pilot with private facilities in Ghana. Features, screens and limits can change while we learn, and some things may be unavailable or incomplete.
- A facility gets a free trial of 30 days or 10 referrals, whichever comes first. The trial starts when the facility activates, which is when its first staff member is approved, not when it is first listed in the directory.
- After the trial, a facility pays for a plan or buys credits. Prices are in Ghana cedis (GHS) and are shown in the facility's Billing page before you pay. We may change prices or plans, and we will give notice before a change applies to you.
- Payments are taken by our payment providers, Paystack or Stripe. If a charge looks wrong, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
- Searching the facility map does not need a subscription.
- We may end or change the pilot. If we end it, we will give reasonable notice.
3. Accounts
- Give true and current information, including your professional licence number if you are a doctor. Staff accounts may need approval before they work.
- Keep your password private. Do not share your sign-in with anyone.
- Facility administrators are responsible for who gets access at their facility, and for removing access when someone leaves.
- Tell us quickly if you think your account has been used by someone else.
4. Acceptable use
When you use MedpointMD you agree that you will:
- Follow the law, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), and the rules of your profession.
- Open, change or share a patient's information only when you are involved in their care, and only after the patient has consented where consent is needed.
- Keep bed counts and facility details honest and up to date.
You agree that you will not:
- Use another person's account, or pretend to be someone you are not.
- Enter false, misleading or unlawful information, or upload harmful files.
- Copy the facility directory or other data in bulk, or try to break, probe or overload the platform or get around its access controls.
- Use the platform to send spam or to harass anyone.
- Use Medi as the only basis for a clinical decision.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
5. What MedpointMD is, and is not
- MedpointMD is a tool for finding facilities, sending referrals and booking appointments. We are not a hospital or clinic and we do not give medical advice or treatment.
- Clinical decisions stay with the doctors and facilities involved. A receiving facility decides for itself whether to accept a referral.
- Bed numbers and other facility details are reported by the facilities and may be out of date. Directory entries come from public listings and are not an endorsement.
- Medi is an assistant that can make mistakes. Check anything important with a qualified health worker.
- An "urgent" or "emergency" label on a referral only sets its place in a queue. It does not replace calling 112 or 193.
6. Your information and our rights
Facilities and patients keep ownership of the information they put into MedpointMD. You give us permission to store and process it to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. MedpointMD, its design, name and software belong to us or our licensors, and these terms do not give you any ownership of them.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep MedpointMD running, but it is provided "as is" during the pilot and we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by outages, out-of-date facility information, or clinical decisions made by users. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Ghanaian law that cannot be limited.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using MedpointMD at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put people or the platform at risk.
9. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top and tell users, and continuing to use MedpointMD means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
